Finding Peace With Change

“Sometimes, there are things in our life that aren’t meant to stay. Sometimes, change may not be what we want. Sometimes, change is exactly what we need. And sometimes, saying goodbye is the hardest thing you think you’ll never have to do, but sometimes, saying hello again is the thing that breaks you down and makes you more vulnerable than you ever thought possible. Sometimes, change is too much to bear. But most of the time, change is the only thing saving your life.” -Unknown

Sometimes, we ask ourselves, what is change? Why do we need it? Why does it even exist?

Life is all about choices. We decide every second of the day on what we do and act. We decide to change our fashion trends, hair color and nails. We learn about ourselves through stages of life, such as figuring out what we like and don't like.

We also learn in the face of bigger things like family, friends and ourselves. It can be the environment, work and everything we go through. It comes in a package. We make choices to face those situations. It can be amazing or painful, or sometimes it can be both.

People often think changes are too much to bear. We think that we should forget the past and focus on the future. Honestly, we are growing and maturing. The past made us into who we are, and the present is focusing on becoming who we are. It’s hard holding on something that is so important to us. It’s time to let it go and be grateful for what we learned.

Life is all about what we make it. Be what people want us to be seen. Create our own brands and be well known in the world. No one is watching us, just do right for ourselves. Feel what is right and do what is best for ourselves. We are no better or no worse than other people. Be unique in our own ways and allow yourself to learn from others.

So, we wouldn’t want a day like in “Groundhog Day,” going through the same routines every single day. That would be super boring. Nothing will ever be the same. Don’t let changes affect our lives and grab the chances that are front of us. Make things count. Everybody matters, and don’t settle for less than we deserve.

We are constantly learning. Mistakes do not define us, but they make us into better people. No matter how much or how little we do, we will always learn something new. Embrace change and make life exciting.
