How to Celebrate Mizzou Homecoming 2013


Get excited, Tigers! Mizzou’s 102nd Homecoming is finally here, and there are many ways to celebrate! Grab your friends and attend all of the events the weekend has to offer. Trust us, you don’t want to miss them!

Friday, October 25

Homecoming Headquarters

Reynolds Alumni Center, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Check in for Homecoming weekend, purchase 2013 homecoming merchandise, and mingle with old friends during Homecoming Headquarters. Note: This event is geared mostly toward MU alumni. 

Campus Decorations
Greektown, 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Take a trip to some of the best and biggest cities in America during campus decorations! At this family-friendly event, thousands of students, alumni and local residents explore Greektown and admire the giant “pomp” boards displayed by each sorority and fraternity pairing. Each pairing also performs a short skit.

Spirit Rally and Campus-Wide Concert featuring Youngblood Hawke
Rollins Street in front of MU Student Center, 9:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
If you aren’t in the Homecoming mood after campus decorations, this spirit rally will definitely get you pumped up for the game and will fill you with Tiger pride. Marching Mizzou and the Spirit Squads will be performing, in addition to appearances from a few special guests. Stick around and enjoy the free concert, featuring Youngblood Hawke.

Saturday, October 26

Homecoming Parade

Downtown/MU Campus, 9 a.m.
Find a spot downtown or on Mizzou’s campus to sit and watch as the floats drive by. The streets fill up quickly, though, so get there early if you want to find a good spot! If you can’t make it to the parade, you can also watch it on the Mizzou livestream page.

Romp, Chomp and Stomp Tailgate
Carnahan Quadrangle, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Your ticket to the official Homecoming tailgate will include live entertainment, a spirit rally, games, giveaways, food and drinks. Register here for the official tailgate!

Football Game vs. South Carolina
Memorial Stadium, kickoff at 6 p.m.
Head over to Memorial Stadium and watch the Tigers battle the Gamecocks! As always, arrive early, stay late, wear gold, and be loud!

No matter what you do this weekend, make sure to wear black and gold and always show your Tiger spirit. MIZ!
