“Sometimes, there are things in our life that aren’t meant to stay. Sometimes, change may not be what we want. Sometimes, change is exactly what we need. And sometimes, saying goodbye is the hardest thing you think you’ll never have to do, but sometimes, saying hello again is the thing that breaks you down and makes you more vulnerable than you ever thought possible. Sometimes, change is too much to bear. But most of the time, change is the only thing saving your life.” -Unknown
Sometimes, we ask ourselves: What is a change? Why do we need it? Why does it even exist?
Life is all about choices. Every second of the day we make choices about what we do and how we act. We decide to change our fashion trends, hair color and even our nail color. We learn about ourselves through stages of life by figuring out what we do and don't like.
We also learn in the face of bigger things like family, friends and ourselves. This can come from the environment, work and every situation we go through. It all comes in a package. We make choices to face these situations. It can be amazing, painful or even both.
We often think changes are too much to bear. We think that we should forget the past and focus on the future. Honestly, we are growing and maturing. Our past choice made us who we are, and the present is about focusing on who we want to be. It’s hard holding on to the things that are important to us, but it’s time to let it go. We should be grateful for what we learned.
Life is all about what we make it. Create our own brands, and be well known in the world. No one is watching you, just do right for yourself. Feel what is right, and do what is best for you. We are no better or no worse than the people around us. We can be unique in our own ways, and allow ourselves to learn from others.
So, we wouldn’t want a day like in “Groundhog Day,” going through the same routines over and over again. That would be super boring. Nothing will ever be the same. Don’t let changes negatively affect your life, and grab the chances that are in front of you. Make things count. Everybody matters, so don’t settle for less than you deserve.
We are constantly learning. Mistakes do not define us, but they make us better people. No matter how much or how less we do, we will always learn something new. Embrace change and make life exciting.
